Verizon has been incredibly, frustratingly slow in launching the HTC One. This is pretty much a well known fact by now, but the wait will finally be over next week. Verizon's had a sign-up page for the HTC One up and running for a few days, and minutes ago the carrier decided to finally announce the release date for the superphone: August 22. That's next Thursday, so start saving up that cash.
