LG is yet to reveal the release plans for G Flex, as per reports, the smartphone will first go on sale in the local market by mid-November.

Original Nike FuelBand To Receive Some FuelBand SE Features In Firmware Update

Earlier in the month, Nike announced the FuelBand SE which was essentially an upgrade over the original Nike FuelBand fitness device. The overall design was kept the same, but Nike made some changes to it, such as the use of Bluetooth 4.0 that allows the device to perform more functions while using less power, adding a bit of water resistance, and new color options just to name a few of the improvements and changes made to it.

Street Price: Google Glass v2.0 invites selling for $537 on average

It was on Monday Google officially announced that they would finally be relinquishing control of Google Glass invites, instead giving Glass Explorers control of who they felt should join the early beta program. The best part. Invitees would receive Google's newly revised (read: nerdier) Glass 2.0 (pictured above). It was a pretty big move, and marked the first time that just about anyone could finally have a shot at owning Glass. Providing they paid the $1,500 entry fee, of course.

NanoLeaf may be the world's most energy efficient light bulb

NanoLeaf may be the world's most energy efficient light bulb

We just bought a condo, and we've been buying things we need to get it set up.  One of the things we purchased was a bunch of CFL bulbs for three floor lamps and a couple of new bathroom fixtures.  We paid $100 for those bulbs, but at least I know I'll be saving electricity and that the bulbs will have a longer life than incandescent bulbs.  My initial outlay would have been much higher if I could have purchased these NanoLeaf bulbs now, but my long-term savings promise to be much higher than I'll see with the CFLs.

Mazda poaches designer Kevin Rice back from BMW

Kevin Rice left Mazda a baker's dozen years ago, but now he's back. A graduate of the Transportation Design program at Coventry University (just across town from Jaguar headquarters), Rice worked his way up in the industry working for the likes of Opel and Italdesign Giugiaro before landing a job at Mazda. Between 1995 and 2000, he collaborated on such projects as the RX-8 and the 1999 Neospace concept that previewed the Mazda2 before moving on to BMW, where the new 3 Series and 4 Series were among the last projects he worked on during his 13-year tenure in Munich.

One of the many perks of this job is, not surprisingly, the cars. It's relatively easy to snag the keys to a vehicle for a special occasion, whether that be for a road trip, tailgating or helping a friend move. And while sometimes the tailgating might happen with a Ford F-150 instead of a Range Rover and the road trip might be in a minivan rather than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, occasionally the stars align and a special vehicle arrives for an equally special time.

2014 Nissan Versa Note

2014 Nissan Versa Note

The original Austin Mini was not designed as a fun-to-drive, sporty small car. Its go-kart-like handling and general chuckability were an unintended byproduct of essential aspects of its design. Its four wheels were pushed to the absolute corners of the car to maximize interior space, and its front-wheel-drive layout and transversely mounted engine were in contrast to the rear-wheel-drive, longitudinal layouts of the day. The result was a highly economical car with space for four and some luggage that just happened to be an absolute hoot to drive.

Hopping onto Motorola's official site, one keen-eyed Reddit user discovered a new addition to the site's menu options. Joining the Moto X at the top of the page was the “Moto G”. If that name sounds familiar to you, it should. We discovered the Moto G in a trademark filing a little over a week ago, and expected some kind of announcement would soon follow.

Suzuki previews Crosshiker, X-Lander, Hustler ahead of Tokyo

Suzuki previews Crosshiker, X-Lander, Hustler ahead of Tokyo

With the Tokyo Motor Show looming on the horizon, Suzuki has revealed a trio of concept cars it will present at the expo. First up is the Crosshiker concept, a compact crossover that looks good enough in metallic red, but in its essence reminds us of the oft-maligned X-90 convertible crossover coupe. Based on the G70/Regina concept, the Crosshiker packs a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine into a compact form that weighs just 1,785 pounds.
Next comes the X-Lander, which strikes us as a smaller take on the formula espoused by the Isuzu VX-02 or Land Rover DC100 Sport concepts.

Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 gets benchmarked

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 has been spotted making its way through another Bluetooth SIG certification, and was even glimpsed in AnTuTu benchmark records. We first got a peek of the expected Galaxy Note 12.2 device back in early September. Back then all we knew was that there was an upcoming 12.2-inch slate from Samsung set to sport an Exynos 5 Octa chipset with a 2560 x 1600 pixel display.
Although it was apparently still too early back then for an official announcement at IFA, things have progressed quickly.

New Daylight Saving Time Bug Surfaces In iOS 7

New Daylight Saving Time Bug Surfaces In iOS 7

A new bug has surfaced for some users in Calendar display on iOS 7, where the current time is offset by one hour, despite the fact that the status bar shows the correct time. The bug appears to be limited to the Calendar display, since alarms and events are not disturbed in any way, they're correctly timed and displayed. For example, due to the bug, the app will draw current time line at the 1:15 PM slot if the time is 12:15 PM. This isn't the first time we're hearing about a daylight saving time bug in an Apple device.

Tom Cruise to play Carroll Shelby in 'Go Like Hell'

Racing fans may hold fond memories of Days of Thunder, but let's face it: that wasn't exactly the best film Tom Cruise has ever made. Oblivion, on the other hand, got much better ratings, but was more about flying ships in the future than racing cars in the past. Well, we've got good news, because Cruise and Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski are reportedly teaming up again for a racing-themed bio-pic. Hot on the heels of Rush success comes news that Go Like Hell - the book about Ford's epic battle against Ferrari for dominance in the 1960s European racing scene – is being turned into a movie.

Gran Turismo 6 strikes deal to feature Ayrton Senna content

In the battle between Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, the winner won't necessarily be the one with the biggest selection of cars or the best tracks, or even most top-notch physics and graphics that can traipse all over the uncanny valley. It'll be about exclusive content, and we're talking more than offering a few cars the other guy doesn't have. We're talking tie-ins, features so cool that people will buy the games just because of those special bits. Forza has a tie-in with Top Gear, and will see all three of the show's stars lending their voices to the title.

So the other day we reported that Blizzard had won a legal case against bot maker, Ceiling Fan Software where the courts ordered the company to cease all activity and to pay Blizzard $7 million in damages. $7 million is a lot of money and is definitely not something to sneeze at, but it seems that Ceiling Fan Software might not have that much money lying around and has instead turn to asking their users and fans for donations to help pay their legal fees.

Apparently, this new firmware update has introduced an algorithm that will enhance the performance of the camera, where it the same improvements have been sent over to the likes of Burst Mode, Superior Auto, AR Effect and Sweep Panorama.

Smog – the bane of (over)crowded cities, is a problem that should be addressed by any nation afflicted with it. There are always downsides to it, including rising medical costs that might also put additional burden on the government machinery in the long run. In China alone, smog is a fast growing problem that is not going to go away anytime soon. In fact, if our memories serve us just fine, the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics saw most industry in the city shut down so that the smog levels will remain in check.

Nissan recalling 151,000 CUVs over ABS issues

Nissan will be recalling over 151,000 vehicles due to issues with the anti-lock braking systems. On rough roads, light braking in the Nissan Pathfinder, Infiniti JX35 and QX60 could trigger a problem in the brake pressure output software that might lead to longer stopping distances than expected relative to the brake inputs. Needless to say, unpredictable stopping distances on rough roads is not a desirable trait in a three-row, family friendly CUV. The recall covers all 2013 and 2014 Nissan Pathfinders built between April 18, 2012 and September 20, 2013, some 100,682 vehicles.
