Research in Motion (RIM) is not in the best of financial positions at this point in time, simply because they are not selling enough smartphones to make up the numbers. In fact, we were just talking about their most recent quarterly loss that amounted to a whopping $125 million, which is a far cry from the $900 million plus profit that they made just a year ago. Having said that, there is a rumor going around that RIM might just decide to stop charging an access fee for BlackBerry users, and this might just work in RIM's favor even if for a quarter or two.
