Flycatcher computer chip could be generic Internet gateway

Arm Holdings of the UK have come up with a low-power computer chip known as the Flycatcher, and it can be used to connect traffic lights, parking meters, fridges and get this – even forests, to the Internet. The whole idea behind the Flycatcher is part of Arm's efforts to expand its empire that will range from smartphones to tablets. They intend to connect a slew of devices to the Internet before 2020 is over.
