Motorola DROID MAXX official bumper case review

Motorola DROID MAXX official bumper case review

With great power comes great responsibility, and with great smartphones comes an even greater need to protect them. That's what I set out to do with the device I plan on using for at least the next six months — the Motorola DROID Maxx — while I was at the Verizon store helping my sister and mom but the new iPhone 5S last week. I settled on the official bumper case for $20, as I am not too worried about the back of this particular phone getting damaged (Kevlar-coated backing for the win). So how has it fared for me so far.
Design and Aesthetics

If there's one thing to love about this bumper case, it's the looks.

Mercedes C-Class wagon is nearly ready for the school run

Mercedes C-Class wagon is nearly ready for the school run

The next C-Class has been spotted plenty of times already in sedan form, and for the most part, it looks a lot like a small S-Class. But there's another body style that has since been spotted, a C-Class wagon that one of our spies photographed outside Mercedes-Benz' research and development center in Germany. Despite the camouflage, the wagon looks close to being ready for production. From the tip of the front grille to just before the rear wheels, the wagon looks the same as the sedan.

Cowboy On A Champagne Budget. Trucks are more expensive than ever these days. This is a growing trend we've observed over the years, something that we are still taken aback by when having a close look at the window stickers of our new test trucks, and something that you commenters point out just about every time we compose a review.

LG G Pro Lite Dual to have stylus, lower-end screen and chipset

LG G Pro Lite Dual to have stylus, lower-end screen and chipset

The LG G Pro Lite Dual is back with a brand new leak and while last time we wondered why it was called "Lite," now we wonder why it's called "Pro." There's also a curious change – the phablet will have a stylus that can be sheathed into the device's body, Galaxy Note style (unlike the LG Vu's, which had no slot for the stylus). The dual-SIM LG G Pro Lite Dual will reportedly have a 5.5" IPS screen like its single-SIM sibling, but that screen will only have qHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels) with half the pixel density.

2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG

For Chief Execs In One Hell Of A Hurry. We've finally calmed down from thrashing the all-new, front-wheel-drive-biased, 4Matic A45 and CLA45 from Mercedes-Benz's AMG performance division. Our driving experiences were good and, above all, more responsive than any mainline AMG model in memory – both cars took a little getting used to dynamically, but getting comfortable didn't take long.
Now we've thrust ourselves into the driver's seat of AMG's offering at the other end of the spectrum – the new S63 AMG with its decidedly rear-biased 4Matic all-wheel drive and extended wheelbase.

Apple Patent Wants To Bring Autographs To Ebooks

Apple Patent Wants To Bring Autographs To Ebooks

With the creation of eBooks and its readers and apps, the need to go out to a bookstore and purchase a physical copy of a book is no longer necessary. Personally I prefer holding a physical book over a tablet any day, but that's just personal preference. However authors are still doing book signing tours and we suppose getting a book signed is less expensive than having your tablet signed, right. Well it seems that Apple might have thought about that and a patent discovered by Apple Insider has revealed that the Cupertino company might have thought up a solution to that.

Nevada now allowing motorcycles to run red lights legally

Nevada now allowing motorcycles to run red lights legally

As of next Tuesday, October 1, motorcyclists, cyclists, moped and tri-wheel riders in Nevada will be legally allowed to run red lights under one condition: there is no other traffic around, and they have waited at the light through two red-light cycles. When light sensors under the road don't detect a two-wheeled vehicle it can leave a rider sitting a light until a car shows up, or the rider will need to dismount and press the "Walk" button to get the light to change. The law was passed in order to provide a more expedient way to deal with the situation. Nevada isn't the first state to consider and pass such a law.

Left Field Design CardClip review

Left Field Design CardClip review

Left Field Design has a Kickstarter project that takes an old-world design and evolves it for modern times. The LFD CardClip is a machined (money) clip-style slim wallet, engineered to securely carry your identification, a few credit cards, and paper money. I have been considering trying something like this for too long now. So, when Julie offered up the opportunity to review the CardClip I raised my hand to give it a try. From a material, build, and finish standpoint, the CardClip is very well done.
